The Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) emerges as a promising alternative to conventional fossil fuels in aviation. Originating from renewable sources such as biogas, SAF represents a significant reduction in greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions.
Geo is advancing towards SAF production from renewable gas, using a technological route that converts this input into synthetic crude oil, establishing the first Brazilian demonstration-scale plant to produce 100,000 liters of SAF annually, commencing operation in 2025.
