uisa Geo Biogas

The plant, located in Nova Olímpia in Mato Grosso, is the result of a joint venture between the uisa group and Geo bio gas&carbon, and is a pioneering project in the state.

With investments of R$220 million, the initiative involves an agreement to produce biogas from sugarcane processing waste, reinforcing its innovative and sustainable nature.

The plant will have an installed capacity of 5 MW of electricity and, in the future, a production of 31,200 Nm³/day of biomethane, which will be transported in trucks to industrial customers in the region. The raw materials used include vinasse and filter cake from Uisa, as well as an additional source of biomass.

The project, which is in the executive phase, should start producing biogas in 2025.
