Cocal Geo Biogas

Opened in 2022, the Narandiba unit is a milestone in the integration of sustainable solutions for energy generation, the result of an investment of R$150 million.

The plant has a modern infrastructure, consisting of two 8,000 m³ vertical biodigesters and four 18,000 m³ horizontal biodigesters, designed to maximize biogas production.

In addition, the unit stands out for operating the first pipeline exclusively for the transportation of biomethane in Brazil, in partnership with Necta (formerly GasBrasiliano). This pipeline has a network of approximately 65 km, ensuring the efficient supply of biomethane to industrial customers in the region.

The Cocal Geo unit in Paraguaçu Paulista is under construction and is expected to begin operations in mid-2025.

The plant, which will have an investment of R$ 216 million, will be equipped with two 8,000 m³ vertical biodigesters and four 18,000 m³ horizontal biodigesters, dedicated exclusively to the production of biomethane, with a production capacity of 60,000 Nm³/day.

All biomethane distribution will be carried out via CNG, using cylinders transported by trucks, positioning itself as a strategic advance in renewable energy infrastructure in Brazil.
